Thursday, August 23, 2012

Today has just flown by!  It was our second full day with switching classes and the students are already amazing at it!  Currently, they are learning all about the different instruments in the band.  Next week, they will meet with Mr. Schraub to try out the instruments before deciding if they want to participate in band and what instrument they are most interested in as well as suited for.  It is an exciting part of 5th grade!

Today's homework:

Language Arts:       Read 20 minutes (daily)
                              Personal Museum (due Friday, August 24)

Math:                     Dynamath page 4-5, 6-7, 10-11, 12-13   (due August 28)
                              Continental Math (due August 24)  Show all work!
                              Survey question  (due Monday, August 27)

Social Studies        Write blog "Why study history?"  (due Friday, August 24)
                              Write a response to a classmate (due Tuesday, August 28)
                              Typed paragraph "Why Study History?"  (due Thursday, August 30)
