We are almost done with the second week of school!  Homework is being assigned a bit more consistently now, so I would like to make sure all students and parents are aware of the 5th grade team expectations.

Each month students are allowed one late/missed assignment with no penalty.  It should be turned in the next day.
The second late/missed assignment will result in students attending study hall during lunch and recess.
The third late/missed assignment will result in students attending study hall during lunch and recess as well as the student calling parents to inform them it is their third homework notice.
The fourth late/missed assignment will result in a conference between parents, teachers and students.
I am,of course, hoping we do not get to that point.

Today's homework:

Reading: read 20 minutes (daily)
              writing sort (due Friday, August 31)
               set of 8 dividers (due Tuesday, September 4th)

Math:  Survey presentation (due Friday, August 31)
           Math journal page 27 (due Friday, August 31)
