Welcome to 5th grade!  I hope you had a fabulous summer!  I am very excited to work with you this year.  Please tell me something you did this summer. I went to so many different beaches; beaches are one of my favorite places.  I went to Florida, Michigan, Indiana and Chicago beaches this summer.  I also went to Toronto but we didn't go to the beach there.  It was super hot though.  My family and I looked for the beach but it was too far away to walk to.

    I also read a lot of books. One of my new favorite authors is John Grisham. I have read many of his adult books, but I like his youth books as well. PS

      I love reading. Right now I'm reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaimen. I've also been reading the Nicholas Flamel series by Micheal Scott. AD

    I went to six flags and had alot of fun. I did not go on the new roller coaster. But i did go on the raging bull. It was so much fun!:)

    I try'd out for bulls basketball and made the team along with demo and my friend aidan. I also went tubing at my lake in Indiana.CW

    This summer I had lots of fun. I went to six flags for 12 hours! I went on the new ride
    x-flight. I also went to Branson, Missouri for 5 days. We went to caves, good resturants and an aquareum.

    Yeah cool sounds fun I went to a cubs game with my aunt. I can't belive she took me because she is an ULTIMATE sox fan!!! we saw lake michigan on the drive there and there were a ton of white caps. they were about eleven feet tall!!!

    I had alot of fun!!! I went to Cooperstown, NY for my brother's baseball team!! Then i went to hershey PN!! I had alot of fun swimming and playing with friends! I also went to girlscout camp! Z.H.

      I was a girl scout leader for both of my daughters (through 5th grade) and a den leader for my son. I think scouting is great! PS

    I went to Branson,Missori this summer. We went to our hotell pool almost every day, we had chicken fights and we played many games. One day we whent to an aquarium and we fed seaturtules, stingrays, and sharks.

      Cool!!! I can't beleive you fed a shark. What kind of shark was it? Was it a baby or an adult? Did you feed it by hand? The seaturtles and stingrays must ahve been really cute! Z.H.

      There are usually two teams in a chicken fight. Each team is made up of two people, one sitting on the other person's shoulders. Then they "wrestle" or try to topple the other team. It is played in the water. It is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the person on the bottom usually ends up with a stiff neck.

    I had a great summer because I went to my grandmas house and went to the tryouts and I made the team and then I went to my home town pioria for a weekend

    this summer I went to a cougars game they won. i went to a pool house in grandhaven,mi we had a great time my sister got a goldfish and we rode go-carts played minigolf and arcade games.
    also i went to a cubs game but sadly they lost.
    then came my birthay i got a bunch of presents.
    also there was a great cake.then school started but thats another story

    well this summer was really fun and i wish it could last because i hade. alot of fun because i went to birthday party's went to the pool and did alot of other
    fun stuff and i live close next to the pool so i go there alot and i also went to 6 flags and it was fun and i got to go on the riding bull!and i also got a asome new book direry of a wimpy kid cabin fever the new 1 and i loved it it was the funniest and best book of the summer :D it was fun r.v

    Hi, I went to a place called carlyle lake this summer. It is one hour out of St. Louis. Whil we were there, we went to soulard farmer's market, union station, and the gateway arch. We also met up with friends by carlyle. We were going to go fishing but there was never a good spot. I will tell you more later.

    hi, i am a.p over my vacation i did lots of fun stuff. like i wentsurfing for my first time i was scared but some how i got the hang of it. Next summer i hope to do it again.

    During my summer I didnt do really that much during summer but I played games with my brothers and football with them and we went to sea lion to not to much but the pool is really fun but even though I did think I didnt do to much my summer was fun!NM

    I went to some beaches to. I went to lake michigan, and I found a fossil there. And I went on a canoe trip. I almost caght a painted turtle, he took my hook when I was reeling him in. JDK

    I had a great summer too! we held a lemonade stand through a program called Alex's Lemonade Stand which was started by a 4 year old girl named Alex. Later in the summer we went to the Shedd Aquarium and saw the oldest fish in any aquarium in the world! AD

    This summer I went on a vacation on the lake with my dads side it was so awesome!! i also went to my freinds annual lanning fest i stayed up past 11:00 that night. I also had my baby cousin henry over alot.

    when summer started I was so happy because I knew I was going to my gradma and grampa's house in Tampa bay, florda. When I was there I read lots of books and went golfing with my grampa (it's was so hot that day). After going to my grandparents I went to six flags for 6 hours straight. It was so fun going on the roller coasters and water slides (there was the drop slide where the floor drops and it goes like 75 MPH! It was so fast it hurt my back. That was my summer. N.A

    I had a great summer too. I also went to Florida and the city that I was in was Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was so much fun! I also went to the beach alot and I also went snorkeling in the ocean with nursing sharks. I also swam with alot of beautiful fishes of all colors and shapes and sizes. I also went to go see the Gator Boys and went on an Airboat tour. It was so much fun. I also watched them restle an Alligator and I even held a baby gator! Also at my resort, there was a Wild Animal Kindom Show and I held a big, yellow, Pithon and a Honeybear aroud my neck. I had four pools, one with a slide, and a miniture golf course. It was so much fun! C.N.

    this summer i went to wiscosen 2 times! but the second is wat i will talk about. first the 7 hour ride was boring but something on traler brock so we stopt fr 2 hours. the next day me and my cusins got up erly to go tobing. then we went to the inside pool. werod on the 4 welers and tobe and swam and a lot more it was awsome. from AG

    This summer I did a lot like go to the brookfeild zoo and I saw the birds and the lions and the reptiles. Also I went on a shopping spree and I got clothes from aero and forever21 and went to the promoade. the last few thigs I did was I went to indiana dunes. It was a hour away. I was so bored so we played ninija and sweet and sour. a lot of people waved back but some were sour and did not wave. So thats what I did this summer

      The Promenade is a shopping center in Bolingbrook. They have lots of stores and restaurants. Sometimes they have bands playing there at night.

    I didnt do very much this summer, but the very weekend before i had went home with my freinds, Lailoni and Didi. And my freinds l leshea and jaia came along. The next day we took a train chicago. after we went to a mexican place, we were going to get lunch and go attacked by a hobo on. we left chicago after that
