Happy Friday!
Monday we go to Camp Duncan. Please be sure students are dressed for whatever the weather is. We will be outside for 1/2 of the day. That should include gloves or mittens, a warm coat,hat and outside shoes. They will also need a sack lunch.
I do have room for one additional parent Monday, if anyone is interested in joining us. The adults do minimal work; the field trip is run by the staff at Camp Duncan. However, if you are free and interested, please let me know.

On the preview, for examples, it says use 2 variables. I can only think of a general pattern using 1 variable.

TM - The science fair is not until February so you don't need to worry about it yet. We were just talking about how it is important to understand how variables work so you can plan an experiment when the time comes. I will give you plenty of notice, I promise!
ReplyDeleteHi on the trick answers for math homework on #3 after you do 10+5=15times3=45 then do you do 45 divided by 30 or 30 divided by 45?

30 divided by (10 + 5) x 3 = 24
Order of Operations says parenthesis first
30 divided by 15 x 3 = 24
Now just go in order....
Music Question! what are the notes for F7 on a B flat major scale? PB
ReplyDeletePB - An F7 is F, A, C, Eflat. The typical voicing for it, in the Bflat scale, would be A, E flat, F. The C is not necessary because, as the 5th in the chord, it does little to define the tonality of the chord.

AD - the chord is built on an F, which is a 5th above Bflat (the key he is in). The dominant chord (the chord built on the 5th) is the second most powerful chord in each key - - second only to the tonic (the chord built on the root of the key). The 7 comes because Eflat is a 7th above F. The interval of the chord, from the base to the top tone, if arranged in order. is a 7th.
