Welcome Back!
It was so nice to see everyone today! It sounds like break was a great time for travel, family and friends.
We are back into the swing right away.
In Social Studies, we are learning about the settling of the first 13 colonies. The students are working in groups, creating a glogster presentation about either the Southern, Middle or New England colonies.
In Language Arts, we began a unit on debate. Students will be placed in groups and research a topic together. They will be assigned either the affirmative or the negative side. Next week, they will debate their topic. Finally, they will write a argumentative 5 paragraph essay on the same topic.
We are wrapping up our unit on Algebra this week, with a vocabulary test (topic 1, 2,3) on Thursday and a Chapter 3 test on Friday. We will do some geometry in December.
Have a great night!
