Good Afternoon!

Another great day for us!

The AT Math students worked on Mind Maps.  During this process they will examine what they learned, both about architecture and themselves, during our Frank Lloyd Wright project.

In Language Arts, the students embraced the idea of debates, working in groups of 2-3 students to learn about their topic.  We will continue working on this throughout this week, with presentations sometime next week.

Homework for tonight:

Reading:
Read 20 minutes (ask your student why we picked 20 minutes)
Kenya Connect log
E-Pals Permission slip due by Thursday
5 paragraph organizer due tomorrow
Vocabulary quiz on Friday

Math:
Vocabulary review (for their own studying)
POW due Friday
Vocabulary quiz on Thursday
Topic 3 test on Friday

Enjoy your evening!

  2. LR - of course. We can go over it tomorrow in class. But - from memory, this is what I recall. Toni is the unknown that we start with. Let's call her t. Mike is 2 more than Toni (t + 2). The third person (I don't remember the name) is 4 times Mike and Toni combined so 4* (t + 2 + t). Add that all together to get 70...
    Is that the correct problem?
    Does that make sense?
We will definitely go over it in class tomorrow too.

  3. LR - you are probably on your way to school already. All you have to do is use f instead of t. Use f as the variable simply means to use that letter (not, x or y or t, etc). Sounds like you were on the right track.

  8. BP - Tract means pull, drag, draw.

POW problem 5: culinary matters or cool computations? For cool computations, Toni swam 31 feet less than 10 times what Matt swam. 10d - 31 =

For culinary matters: add it all together and divide by 2.
    Hope that helps?

AD: Just write the formula the way we do in class. Example: 17 - x = y.
