  2. CN - great option!
You could also relate second chances to the debtors and convicts that came to the Southern Colonies for a fresh start.

    1. I did relate second chances to debtors and this was my sentence. Also, to relate to second chances, debtors had a second chance to come to the southern colonies for freedom and a fresh start.
My sentence about friendly people was this: Lastly, there were many friendly people with rules around. For example, the Middle colonies had peace with the indians.Cn

  3. to go along with what i said that rules helped thirteen colonies learn from their mistakes, the indians would be an example if you approve mrs sutton. CN.

  4. Can you explain who learned from their mistakes - - the Native Americans or the colonists? How do you know they learned from their mistakes? If you can answer those questions, then you can use that as your example.

  5. How do you know this? What in history tells you that they should have helped the colonists? Why did they not help the colonists?
CH - it is time for you to start asking yourself these questions instead of me. It is your paper, not mine. If you have the support, you can use the statement. If you do not have the support, or evidence, than you cannot.

  6. Mrs sutton the book says that the native americans helped the colonists at first but then they lost more land as the colonies grew. It also says that the colonists caputured and sold the pequot tribe and then they had the pequot war.

That's what i think are the supporting details. Cn

Ps but if its not, then i will try to find something else.CN

  8. CN - I am glad you are feeling better at social studies.

I am happy to read your paper when we get back to school next month. In the meantime, please continue writing, revising and editing until you are confident in your work. Remember Mr. Sutton's rules of editing. 1) read it out loud; 2) read it backwards; 3) scan. You can also ask your parents to edit it.

I hope you had a great Christmas yesterday.
    See you January 7th.

I will read your paper when we return from break. I am not going to tell you what to write. You are capable of making those decisions on your own.

I will not be responding to blogs during break. As I have said several times, please work on your paper independently. I will read it after break.
    Thank you.
