Tomorrow is our field trip to the JH to see their production of Stuart Little. Students do not need a permission slip as we will walk to the junior high and back to Schiesher. However, if you prefer your child not attend, please sign the form that went home earlier this week and return it to school tomorrow.

question -what you are testing
research - gathering of information
hypothesis -what you think will happen
materials - what you need to complete the experiment
procedure - what you will do
data - how will you record the results
observations - what you saw happen
conclusion - what happened and why
The other questions I have asked you are about what variable are you testing. Remember that only 1 thing can be changed in an experiment. The thing you change is called a variable.
I have also asked what your control is. That is your sample experiment - when nothing is changed. Your results may be based on what is different from the sample experiment and your experiment with a tested variable.
You can look up scientific method if you need more information. There are many thorough descriptions on-line.
