Congratulations to one of our own. He was a runner up in a contest sponsored by Ms. Williams. Ask your student about it. We are quite proud!

For the P.O.W., I'm stuck on the 40 students after I subtracted my sum from 100.00%. B.P.
ReplyDeleteBP - that is definitely the trickiest part of the POW. The question is 40 students is ____% of what number. Your remaining percentage goes in the _____.
ReplyDeleteCan you take what you know....40 students is 100% of 40. 40 is 50% of 80. 40 is 10% of 400. How do we figure that out? Then try to substitute in your numbers.
If you are still stuck, I would search for help on mathisfun, or Khan.
But first, take what you know and see if you can go from there. If you are still stuck tomorrow, we can look it over together.
